The Album
The album title, ’Troubadours Escape’, is inspired by musicians of the high middle ages and their integral contribution to society through storytelling and music as Troubadours. Each piece on the album is a story, a sonic narrative of moments, ideas and experiences. A lullaby, composed for his youngest sister, expressing wholehearted pride in seeing the young woman she had become in two years of absence while concurrently feeling profound sadness knowing many important moments of her life had been missed in the pursuit of his own.  Thunderous sounds of high speed trains reinvented by special technique on guitar combined with melody and lighting fast rhythms recall the endless hours traveling by train around Europe in the pursuit of more concerts, more unknown, more adventure.  Rasgueado techniques adapted from the mighty tradition of flamenco and percussive patterns on the body of the guitar in combination with a looper pedal recounts the heat, dry air and immersive culture traveling from concert to concert in southern Spain.
