Rips and Tears - The Album:
From stripped back simplistic chord melody arrangements to near orchestral collaging of overdubs, Rips & Tears is, at its core, a dialog between two friends. The arduousness of the Corona lockdowns and the emotional uncertainty that came with them is present in Rips & Tears. The musical wonderings of the album matching the constant shiftings of the mental perspectives of the two musicians. From Paris to Nashville with music from Django Reinhardt to Chet Atkins, even a nod to Hendrix, the connecting theme of guitar and clarinet symbiosis is heard throughout the albums entirety.
