About the Performer:
Zarek Silberschmidt, a guitar virtuoso who has made a name for himself in recent years with several tours of Australia, New Zealand and Chatham Island, has been living in Basel and thus in his second home, Switzerland, for seven years now.

Live, Zarek and his guitar invite you to an evening full of instrumental noblesse. The combination of filigree harmonies, rapid flamenco techniques and percussive rhythms creates enchanting arrangements of well-known songs and his own compositions, accompanied by the easy charm of New Zealand humour.

Zarek's wish is to do justice to the different languages of music with his guitar. He takes his cue from his idols such as Tommy Emmanuel and Django Reinhardt, but creates his very own style and language'.
