2022, Nearly Half Way

Picking up at the start of January 2022.

With the Corona restrictions in force once again, this was a very quiet time with no concerts. While it was difficult to keep positive in these dark winter weeks, the calm gave me the chance to work on my slowly growing YouTube channel.

In February I had the immense pleasure to teach along side the wonderful ‘Shane Hennesy’ and ‘Heiko Bloomers’ at the ‘Guitar Workshop Spain’ held annually in Altea, Spain. The week long workshop took place in the beautiful ‘El Tossal de Altea’ which was completely empty except for the workshop participants. Other then the workshop being a wonderful experience, it was made more special for me as I had attended as a student five years earlier. Thank you to the Guitar Workshop Spain team for organising the event and to all the students and teachers who made it so special.

While I was in Spain, I took the opportunity to reunite with my good friends at ‘Right On Straps!’. After a tour of their factory and a catch up over good Spanish coffee I could meet and play with ‘Los Zigarros’ and ‘Ángel Wolf’ above the factory floor. Sharing music with these artists and catching up with old friends filled me with a lot of inspiration, please, go listen to them! Thank you Right On for your wonderful hospitality.

February and April also brought some concerts!

Basel Live released the newest addition of their magazine, in which I am featured! I would like to gratefully thank Valerie Ziegler from ‘Nuage’ and Basel Live for their work. For those of you in Basel, keep an eye out, these magazine are everywhere.

Lastly, I became a ‘modernised’ musician with two new improvements. The first, digitally releasing my E.P. ‘Home’ which is now available everywhere online, including Spotify. Secondly, perhaps you have noticed, the new website in which this blog is accessible!

Now we are at the beginning of May, let's see what the rest of the year brings.
