Summer of 2022 - You Beauty
Picking up where we left off, the middle of May, I have had the immense pleasure to play with many new groups in different parts of Switzerland. While the effect of the corona restrictions still lingered, it did not hold anyone back from taking the stage. For this I am very grateful.
Performing alongside Vincent Millioud and Bastien Montal above the beautiful city of Bern.
These warm summer months gave me the chance to share the big stage with the phenomenal La Nefera. Every show with them was special, the highlights of which had to be performing at the Pärkli Jam in Basel during a massive storm in front of close to 10,000 people and taking the stage at the Moon & Stars Festival in Locarno.

The summer also brought the beginning of a new ensemble, “Django On Strings’, a trio consisting of Vincent Millioud on Violin, Ambrosius Huber on Cello and myself Guitar.

I had the pleasure to meet up with the guys at Guitar Barn and had audio engineer and friend Giacun Schmid help put together new pedal board combinations for electric guitar sounds.
It was with a lot of excitement I traveled across Switzerland to join new ensembles and bands to perform music with them. I was very grateful for the many wonderful moments, some of which were captured below.

Last but not least, I had the distinct honour of playing in duet with the great Dominik Schürmann at the wonderful and intimate space of ‘Geigenbau Reuter’ in Basel.
All in all, what a great summer, it felt like a much needed musical comfort after so much isolation and uncertainty. While this blog installment is published in mid November, it only accounts for the time between May and July. I will publish the last two months very soon, in it, I will talk about the release of my newest album ‘Rips and Tears’ and the tour that proceeds it.
