The ‘Zarek & George’ Rips and Tears album release tour was both a great pleasure and triumph after a seemingly endless road of pandemic related setbacks.

The tour consisted of eight concerts through Switzerland and southern Germany.

Beginning in Estavayer-le-Lac we were greeted with warmth and a full house for our first house concert style show.

From Estavayer-le-Lac we traveled through to Zürich to perform our second concert in the beautiful venue, Das Schiff Stäff, an anchored boat floating on the lake of Zürich.

After Zürich we hit the road again and traveled north across the border to Germany for our third concert in the ‘Theater am Kastelberg’. It was my fifth time performing in this theatre and every time it seems even more impressive than the last. We even made an appearance in both the ‘Elztäler Wochenbericht’ (page nine) and ‘Badischen Zeitung’. Click the names respectively to read the articles.

Performing in the Theatre Am Kastelberg, Waldkirch, Germany.

After Waldkirch, the two following concerts took us on a zigzag, south back into Switzerland for a concert in Vevey, to the intimate space of Cafe Des Argiles , then north once more to Minslen, Germany at the Johanneskirche. As you can see, all the travel required important preparation.

From Minslen our next stop was the Nellie Nashorn in Lörrach, Germany. There we not only had the great pleasure of a sold out theatre, but being featured on the cover of their program magazine and monthly program poster.

With the finish line of the tour in sight, our tour car brought us to Baden, another small yet strickingling charming city in the north of Switzerland. Here our stage was prepared inside the Trudelkeller.

With Baden behind us, the final show brought us back home to Basel for a concert at the ‘Treffpunkt Breite’, and what a show it was.

After Basel we in fact had one more unofficial show in Bad Säckingen thanks to the wonderful and spontaneous organisation of our hostess Hildegard. Again we made an appearance in the Badische-Zeitung.

This brings us to the end of this blog installment, to all the venues, audience members, people who helped behind the scenes, I cannot thank you enough.
To better capture the spirit of the tour, you can see the video below, as we had a camera follow us to all the performances.

P.S. Don’t forge, the album is now available on all streaming platforms, to stream the album on Spotify, click here! For those of you in Europe (and in certain cases, further abroad) wanting a physical copy, get in touch via my website for details.

Good wishes for the new year and until the next instalment, all the best.
Z.
