Summer 2023, Music, Travel and Dreams Achieved.

With Spring slowly giving way to summer, there was no shortage of music to play. These months brought me some of the nicest musical moments of my career so far.

To begin with, I hosted and promoted a small concert series entitled ‘A Tribute To Django’, where I was joined on stage by the phenomenal Adam Tabutiz, Rémy Trommenschlager, Flo Hunziker and George Ricci to perform some of Django Reinhardt’s most beloved compositions and arrangements. Both nights were sold out and the energy in the concerts were nothing short of magic.

These wonderful summer months also saw the infamous ‘Sons Of Gumbo’ performing through northern Switzerland, which gave me the opportunity to perform alongside them with my Banjo Guitar.

I had the immense pleasure of adding several prestigious festival performances to my résumé, including ‘Em Bebbi Jazz’, ‘Summer Blues’ and ‘Lucerne Guitar Concerts’.

The ‘Schweizer Musikzeitung’ wrote an article the wonderful evening at the ‘Lucerne Guitar Concerts’ festival and spoke in detail about the duet concert which I performed in. To see that, click here. My deep appreciation and thanks to both the team at Lucerne Guitar concerts for the incredible venue and festival organisation, and Wolfgang Boehler at the Schweizer Musikzeitung for the article.

In between these festivals, there were many different concerts throughout switzerland.

Performing at ‘Guitars & More’ 2023 for ‘Guitar-Repairs’.

Performing in trio for the 80th birthday of the ‘Library Arlesheim’, we even made it onto the local news on a T.V. Spot.

In July, I traveled north to Gothenburg, Sweden where I met with guitarist extraordinaire and personal hero, Emil Ernebro. We worked together on a video tutorial for his online music academy ‘Pro Guitar’, and I could not be prouder of the final result.

If you are interested in this lesson, click here to head over to Pro Guitar and learn more.

Now we are headed towards October and the days are getting colder. While I have some concerts coming up, my focus is on my new album which I am currently working hard on. More news to come about that soon.

Thanks for sticking with me so far,
Z.
